Today was my mom’s birthday (happy birthday, Mom!), and it was also my nephew’s 8th birthday party (his birthday was on Saturday). So, I didn’t really get a lot of work done today that I wanted to. But, I was able to head over to Wal-Mart (which unfortunately is the best place to get crafting supplies in the rural area I live in..), and I picked out some cute ribbon to make hair bows with and some flowers to make some new hair clips.
When I saw this roll of Hello Kitty ribbon, I automatically thought of all the girls I knew who were obsessed with everything that involved Hello Kitty. They have purses, jewelry, t-shirts, buttons, cell phone covers, etc. So, I knew that if I made a hair bow, they would definitely be interested. So, I bought some and here’s a hair bow that came out of it:
I’m actually quite proud of how it turned out. Usually, it takes me a few times to make the bow turn out okay, but this type of ribbon was easier to work with than others I have used before. Not sure what I’m going to do with this as of right now, but we’ll see.
I also made this hair bow from some cute black with white dots ribbon I got today:
I still need to finish up the ends, but other than that, this bow is pretty much completed. I also like how this one turned out even though this one took a bit more time than the smaller one above. I think they’re cute and hopefully, others will think the same and want to buy them… that would be ideal anyways haha.
Let me know what you think!
